Cos’è #dancecompanion?
Una nuova iniziativa dedicata al pubblico della danza, sviluppatasi nell’ambito del progetto europeo Pivot Dance e in collaborazione con il corso triennale del Balletto di Roma: 14 giovani danzatori sono diventati speciali accompagnatori nelle giornate di #bmotion2016, invitando gli spettatori ad assistere insieme alle rappresentazioni di danza in programma e a discutere e condividere le rispettive impressioni subito dopo gli spettacoli. Gli stessi accompagnatori sono stati chiamati anche a riflettere, in veste di artisti, sugli spettacoli e darne un feedback sul nostro blog attraverso la creazione di un profilo dello spettatore, che riflette il punto di vista dello spettatore, e un profilo del danzatore che rifletta più il punto di vista di come un artista usufruisce lo spettacolo.

Nello Stabat Mater della Godder, il pubblico, invitato a prendere parte alla performance, si ritrova a condividere un’esperienza comune. Coinvolto attivamente dagli interpreti, la cui gentilezza ispira fiducia, diviene egli stesso artefice e vittima di una deposizione. Tutti gli spettatori sono accomunati da una condivisione sociale, sia se decidono di partecipare attivamente, sia se scelgono di rimanere all’esterno a guardare.
La progressione dell’evento segue un climax ascendente, enfatizzato da una litania dal vivo.
Lo spettatore ne esce colmo di emozioni mutevoli: dal turbamento, all’avversione verso la manipolazione, alla tenera commozione.

Se avessi la possibilità di confrontarti con il coreografo e/o i danzatori cosa chiederesti? | Che cosa si prova nel partecipare in prima persona come spettatore alla sua stessa creazione?
Qual è il punto di forza dello spettacolo? | La grande capacità della Godder di mettere in scena una modalità di manipolazione dell’individuo che, data la sua astuzia, non viene percepita come invasiva.

What is #dancecompanion?
A new way to involve the dance audience inside of the european project Pivot Dance and in collaboration withe the three-years contemporary dance course of Balletto di Roma: 14 young dancers became special “companion” during #bmotion2016, inviting the audience to see the show together with one fo them and to discuss about it at the end. The companion also gave us a personal feedback on the shows from the point of view of the dancers/artist.

In Godder’s Stabat Mater, the audience is invited to take part to the performance and find herself to share a common experience. The audience, actively involved by the performers – whose kindness inspires trust, becomes victim and perpetrator of a deposition in herself/himself. The audience is joined as a whole in a moment of social sharing, regardless of whether the single spectator decides to participate actively or to watch the performance from the outside.
The event’s progression follows an ascending climax, emphasised by a live litany.
The audience come out of the performance full of mutable feelings: from perturbation, to adversity to manipulation, to tender emotion.

Which sensation lasted in you after the vision of the show? | After watching Godder’s Stabat Mater, the spectator is pervaded by an oxymoron of feelings, stunned by a flow of sensations leading to a deep introspection.
If you had the possibility to have a discussion with the choreographer and / or dancers, what would you ask? | How does it feel to take part personally as a spectator to the very creation of the performance?
In your opinion, what is the strong element of this show ? | Godder’s impressive ability to stage a modality of manipulation of the individual that – thanks to Godder’s cunning – is not perceived as invasive.
