DANCE ON DISPLAY | “The Lion’s Den” by PocketArt

ENG | BMotion Danza 2022, “The Lion’s Den” by PocketArt | After the “multiplied” version (with the Agora project dancers and Dance Well Bassano) the two choreographers unmask the other face of power: shadowy, perturbing. A Cerberus-like beast with twin heads that, after dissimulating behind lionised grins, reveals itself in all its diabolical power. Lucid, surprising, disorienting.

DANCE ON DISPLAY is our ongoing feature intended to be looked at, browsed through, and frequently revisited. Communicating dance through images is not just above conveying a narrative. It is also an art in itself, smoothing and curving time; allowing us access to the past, to what has already occurred, in an “eternal return of the same”, frozen in an infinite frame. To see through someone else’s eyes that which we have not ourselves yet seen. Riccardo Panozzo has been entrusted with the story in images of some of the performances that we have watched on your behalf. Here is the photo-gallery.
