Nel mentre il pubblico ancora parlotta e si guarda intorno, l’Unicorno si ridesta.
E’ il suo primo giorno di vita? Il primo giorno in quel luogo? Sa già chi/cosa è?
In ogni caso si ambienta, con qualche apprensione ogni tanto, e via via si rafforza, con un godimento beato; e ti viene a cercare: nel senso che ti invita col dito e che dirige lo sguardo serenamente fermo su di te, ti sorride e ti costringe a ricambiare il sorriso gentile.
Deve andarsene, però: al suo richiamo qualcuno ha risposto ed è naturale raggiungerlo.
Devo dire che rispetto allo sharing visto mesi addietro mi sono mancati dei momenti: avrei voluto vedere più a lungo le dita muoversi nell’aria, a evocare richiami, impennate, cavalcate….
E mi era sembrata necessaria una parte di gesti ed espressioni meno rassicuranti, se non decisamente inquietanti. Nuovo e imprevisto, invece, l’inserto dei fiati, a concludere un lavoro delicato e a tratti commovente.

While the audience is still muttering and looking around, the Unicorn awakens again.
Is it its first day of life? Its first day in that place? Does it already know who/what it is?
Anyway it gets acclimatised, with a few worries here and there, and it slowly grows stronger, with a contented delight; and it comes looking for you: in the sense that it beckons to you with its finger and it directs its serenely steady stare on you, it smiles at you and forces you to return that kind smile.
He needs to leave, though: someone answered its call and it’s natural to join who did.
I have to say that, compared to the sharing I attended some months ago, there were some moments I found lacking: I would have wanted to watch the fingers moving in the air for longer, evoking calls, nose-ups, rides…
And some gestures and expressions that were less reassuring, if not decidedly disturbing, seemed necessary to me.
The inclusion of breaths was, on the other hand, new and unforeseen as the conclusion of a delicate and at times touching work.
