Profilo danzatore – spettatore

E inoltre: come hai lavorato sullo spazio?

What is #dancecompanion?

A new way to involve the dance audience inside of the european project  Pivot Dance and in collaboration withe the three-years contemporary  dance course of Balletto di Roma: 14 young dancers became special “companion” during #bmotion2016, inviting the audience to see the show together with one fo them and to discuss about it at the end. The companion also gave us a personal feedback on the shows from the point of view of the dancers/artist.

Viewer Profile

A journey through gender confusion , claustrophobia and shared spaces . The viewer is given the opportunity to perceive the performance space from different points of view . The viewer, observed by a lot of glasses resting on the ground, feels he is part of the performance. For a long period of time ne doesn’t understand what is the gender of the performer who , after a long striptease , lasted throughout the show , fibra clarity to the curious and involved public. The cathartic moment lasts a moment , once the dancer disappears from the scene , leaving the audience with unresolved questions and certain answers.

Dancer-viewer profile

Describe the performance in 3 words | Catharsis, show, points of view.

If  you had the possibility to have a discussion with the choreographer and / or dancers, what would you ask? | For the choreographer : Why did you choose to use the repeating sound inside the helmet of the performer? Furthermore, how did you work on space?
In your opinion, what is the strong element of this show ? | The fact that it manages to elicit a strong curiosity in the viewer with bated breath.
