KUDOKU | July 17, 2016, Un’altra Bellezza in Villa Rossi Park, Santorso (Vicenza), Operaestate Festival
The exotic word kudoku (Japanese) is the title of a performance by two young and talented artists: Daniele Ninarello and Dan Kinzelman.
Daniele Ninarello (Italy) is a dancer and choreographer. Trained at Rotterdam Dance Academy; he has collaborated with Bruno Listopad, Felix Ruckert, Barbara Altissimo, Virgilio Sieni, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, among others.
Dan Kinzelman (U.S.A.) is a musician and composer. He has worked with Enrico Rava, Mauro Ottolini, Giovanni Guidi, Uri Caine, David Binney, Maria Schneider and Ralph Alessi.
Already highly praised during the 2016 Biennale Danza, Kudoku is a solo dance set to music. It is the perfect example of an integration between sound, architecture and dance; the show has been designed to be performed within closed environments. It was therefore a challenge to reproduce it outdoors and in a such a particular context like Villa Rossi Park.
Here is our video-interview with the two originators.
