Perseverance and connection are the keywords that Igor and Moreno used during the dance class that they held the day after presenting Idiot-Sincrasy at BMotion Dance 2016.
Persevering an action.
Taking for example the repetition of the jump , the backbone of Idiot-Sincrasy, the two choreographers had the participants experience how to find in persevering an action, the key to a possible development of the action itself. The surprise of the action takes place in this process – the development of the persevered action: « what escapes the obvious», « what lays between the obvious and detail», and offers the public the opportunity to access the reading of the work at a deeper level.
Connection with…
Connection as a state of presence, of being, with all of our senses. They worked with the possible variations of the connection: between breath and movement, glances, access to space, with the other’s body, with the other’s smell.
And last but not least, they led the partecipants to being connected with their own sound and that of their peer, experiencing all that is the extension of the movement.
